Our story

A small town, a long tradition, and the alumni who protect it.

The Fayetteville Baseball Alumni Association, Inc. is a Texas nonprofit corporation formed in 2021 to preserve and grow the sport of baseball in Fayetteville, Texas.

Rooted in Fayetteville

Fayetteville has been playing baseball on the same patch of ground for generations. Sunday games, town teams, and the Fayetteville Lions high school program all share one field and one long memory.

The Lions have made 12 appearances at the UIL state tournament, bringing home four state championships — 1997, 2012, 2021, and 2025 — and a reputation for competing with heart.

When the ballpark needed a champion, the alumni stepped up. Former Lions, parents, and community members formed the Association to take on the stewardship of the facility and the tradition around it.

We manage day-to-day operations of the Fayetteville baseball field — from maintenance to major improvements like the artificial-turf infield.

Support the Lions

We back the Fayetteville Lions baseball program with equipment, facilities, and the fundraising that keeps a small-school program competitive.

Bring alumni home

Reunions, memorial games, and gatherings that reconnect generations of Fayetteville players around the field where they grew up.
